question
I wrote a post today that is not about, but references, a post I deleted and the comments on it. It may or may not be offensive to some. Should I post it?
Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay. -Robert Frost
I am a white American middle class suburban housewife trying desperately to tell herself that that is not who she is. One time I was a glowing young ruffian. Oh my God it was a million years ago.

I'm always interested in interesting conversation. Especially about potentially offensive topics. I just like to read / hear viewpoints.
Well ... I'm not so sure I'd worry about being offensive as being hurtful. I think I'd measure my motives and my words ... maybe using 1 Corinthians 13 as a yardstick. Are they written in love, or will they be a clanging gong? Good for you for taking a day or two to reflect on it.
I'm ready 4 the juice (I think?)
Well, my advice and two cents is that this... If your posting this for yourself, to express something that is really on your heart and your mind AND it will make you feel better just to have it out there then maybe you should. However, you have to be sure that just the act of posting it will provide you with the release you need. If you're looking for a specific reponse from your readers, you could be disappoited. And that could end up being more hurtful to you. If your sure that you can put your words out there and not be impacted by an unexpected comment, then go for it.
Ultimatly, this should be about your well being. So I guess this is the long way around to agree with the light lady... in that you have to be sure of your motives. It's as much or even more so to protect your self. I hope I'm making sense. If you want to talk some... I'm here.
I'd always like to hear what you have to say.
